This charming home is perfect for a relaxing Colorado getaway, located on Vallecito Creek and just a short drive to Vallecito Lake. As you enter the home you will find the large living area with gas fireplace. At the rear of the home is the spacious and fully stocked kitchen. There are two dining areas, one seating 6 and one seating 4 which could also be the game table. The first floor Master Suite features a King bed and private bath with standing shower and large soaking tub. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one with a King bed and the other with a Full bed and a Queen bed. A shared bath is on this level with tub/shower. The back deck is where you will find gorgeous views and the soothing sounds of the creek. This is our second visit to this wonderful home! The view from the deck overlooking Vallecito Creek is just absolutely stunning. The home is wonderfully equipped including gas AND charcoal Weber grills. The house doesn't lack for anything. While its about a 40 minute drive to Durango, we didn't mind at all - as the location of this home more than made up for the drive. And the Wemunuche Grill is very close by with excellent food and occasional entertainment. We will be back!!

Our first trip to this part of Colorado and we really enjoyed entirely. River Dance on Vallecito Creek is beautiful home with a creek running right behind it. A large, covered front and back porch with so many comfortable chairs. We spent every opportunity we had on the back porch enjoying the view, the sound or the river and the hummingbirds feeding from two of four feeders on the porches. This home is conveniently located near many hiking trails and just 35ish minutes from Durango, Purgatory, Silverton and Ouray are just up the road from there. Durango is an amazing town, we went on many memorable hikes, but the best part of the day was returning to River Dance on Vallecito Creek. Comfortable bed, comfortable furniture inside and out. Used the Weber grill one night for steaks and shrimp. We will definitely stay again.

Our family rented this cabin for a family reunion over July 4th, it was great!! The front and back porches are amazing and the scenery, of course, cannot be beat!

We had a fantastic stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had all we needed to cook and grill our own meals. There was plenty of space in the fridge and to store dry goods in the cupboards. The freezer had space for all our cold packs. Everyone slept well with no complaints about the beds. The porches were the favorite spots to hang out, especially the back porch along the river. Despite houses nearby and across the river, the neighborhood was peaceful. This rental really made the trip for us. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in and we stay in a lot of them! Beds were very comfortable. Internet is a bit slow as they mention but shut off the electronics and look out the window!

Beautiful home, location, creek etc. The only negative was we were there in the winter and never were able to get the fireplace to work even after we asked property management about it. Very serene and quiet and had a wonderful time.

My family - 3 adult children and my wife and I stayed here over the holiday for a week. It was really nice. The property is spotless. The amenities are plentiful. Good assortment of necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans. Coffee pot in good order - just bring coffee. There are stores close by if you forget anything. Awesome fire ring in front of property where we spent hours by the fire letting the snow fall on us. Internet worked great for the location - I had low expectations but it worked for what we needed. BBQ is present - they gave a gas and charcoal - all in great working order. It is right on the river/stream - we will definitely stay here again when the river is not covered in snow. Plenty of great walking from the front door. Beautiful. Local caretaker was Johnny on the spot to plow the snow - but you do need a 4 wheel drive if you are needing to move about before the plows get moving. Best of all - the scenery is just gorgeous in every direction.

Just about perfect! Proper family home with all the amenities and amazing views. Kids spent all day splashing in the river while we relaxed on the rocking chairs on the back deck!
