BARB RICHTER – BOOKKEEPER
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Barb developed an affection for the Colorado lifestyle early, enjoying the outdoors and especially horses. She moved to Montrose, Colorado when she was 15 where she quickly adjusted to rural Colorado living and made a life for herself. Upon completion of high school, while working with the developmentally disabled, she earned a BA in non-profit administration from Regis University. In 1986 her journey found her in Durango where she worked as the Director of Adult Services for developmentally disabled adults. Her quest was only beginning though, as she went on to have numerous other roles including hotel general manager and owner, personal trainer, and health club manager. Barb has now settled on a career in bookkeeping which allows her the flexibility to balance her life between work and her 50 acre ranch where she is able to enjoy her family, three horses, two dogs and a slower pace of life. Barb is currently pursuing her certification as an Equine Assisted Life Coach.
I grew up in Detroit, Mi. Graduated from Mich State with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. Lived and worked in Omaha, NE and Phoenix, AZ. While in AZ I had the chance to work with people with special needs which changed my life. I went back to school and received a master’s degree in Special Education. Moved to Durango in 1995. Best move ever. Durango has been the place to be to pursue my passion for the outdoors. During my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. After retiring from teaching 2 years ago by luck I started checking properties for Durango Red Cliff. Gwen and Kevin have been wonderful to work with.

Prior to joining Durango Red Cliff Properties in 2018, my previous careers have all had to do with Real Estate and Hospitality. My background in both Real Estate and Hospitality lends a perfect balance for property management/maintenance. Aside from my pleasure of working with Durango Red Cliff Properties, I also manage a large Airbnb property, and another home in Durango for out of state owners who rely on me to keep their properties in tip top shape during their absence. When I’m not working, you can find me at the barn. My passion is riding, training, or or just being with my 2 Thoroughbred horses, who have been my steady companions and heart and soul for 12 years.

I work now with DRCP as well as a few private clients that I do regular residential cleaning for. I have worked with Durango Red Cliff Properties since 2015 and am licensed and insured through the state. In my spare time I love to be out in nature, hike, and rock hound.

PHIL’S MAINTENANCE SERVICES LLCMy name is Phil Lanier and my company is Phil’s Maintenance Service, LLC. I did maintenance in schools and many years ago I was in the Army core (that is why the beds in the exclusives I take care of are “perfect”, HA!) I was also a machinist and an electrician. I love working with my hands.I have worked with DRCP for 10 years, primarily as a cleaner, but I also help with many other things like outside work and repairs and winter maintenance. I love setting up new properties so we can get them in perfect shape. In my spare time I enjoying working on my cars and toys. I love to fish and recently purchased a 20 acre mining claim. I went to Alaska about 5 years ago to mine gold from the ocean. I was only there for a short time but I caught the bug. It was always something I wanted to try. It was a hard but good experience. I have found that it is more enjoyable to work in the mountains mining in Colorado than the Alaskan ocean. I love my family. I raised 2 boys alone and that is probably the best part of my story so far. I do appreciate where I am in my life and very much enjoy the family atmosphere that Durango Red Cliff Properties affords. I have and am still learning that “All things work together for Good”- Romans 8:28.
MAID IN DURANGO
We are Elizabeth and Aaron of “Maid in Durango LLC”. I was born in Durango and my wife moved here when she was young from Phoenix, Arizona. I guess you could say I married my high school sweetheart. We have three young boys who fill our lives with busy schedules. They are 7, 8, and 12. We also have had the privilege of raising a foster daughter who is 4 years old. We are happy to be able to raise our kids here in Southern Colorado. The beauty here is amazing. We can be in the high country in 20 minutes and in an hour we can be exploring cliff dwellings. Not too many people have these kinds of opportunities to raise their family in a small town and live in this much beauty. My previous work included heavy equipment, body shop work, and construction. I went to college in Pueblo, Colorado. We have worked with Durango Red Cliff Properties for 7 years. We also continue to work with private home owners as well as commercial jobs. We work with owners and realtors on move out cleans and construction cleans. In our spare time, which is not as much as we would like, we treasure the time with our boys doing sports, fishing, camping or just finding new experiences to share as a family. Durango Red Cliff Properties is family oriented which helps as we want to be available to our children.

Hi! My name is Liz McMullen. My company is LDM Cleaning Services LLC. I recently moved back to Durango from Farmington NM with my 5 year old son Derrick! He is my whole world! When he was 2 he woke up paralyzed from his neck down. He spent just over 2 months in the hospitals in Albuquerque NM. He was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis (a rare nueroimmune disorder). He is walking today but still struggles with his hands and arms. I started this business so I can be able to provide a good living for us and still be able to take him to his therapy and treatments and homeschool him. I’m a Durango native and my family goes back 5 generations here! I’m so excited for this new chapter in our life!
