This charming and modern guest house has just been newly remodeled and features some great amenities like a gorgeous yard on the river, mountain views, and a perfect location between downtown and the ski resort. Two units are available, a lower level unit sleeping 5 and the upper level sleeping 4, making this a great place for family reunions or group retreats.
The lower level apartment features a large open living room with TV and a fully stocked kitchen and dining area with dining table as well as bar seating. The master bedroom features a King Bed, in room TV, and has en suite access to the full bath. Through the master bedroom is the bonus room which has a built in work space and a Twin Day Bed and has access to the back deck. The second bedroom features a Queen Bed and has a large walk-in closet. USB charging stations are available in the kitchen and office.
The upper level apartment has two additional bedrooms, both with Queen beds, sleeping 4 guests. It has a fully stocked kitchenette, living room with smart tv, and separate outside entrance from the lower unit. It also features a dining table that can be converted to a game table with either a poker top or bumper pool.
The beautiful yard is full of changing flora throughout the summer and fall, as well as great views of the river and surrounding mountains. This home is a great location for hiking and biking with easy access to National Forest land. Historic Baker's Bridge is just up the road within walking distance. The ski resort is only a 15-20 minute drive.

Thank-you for another great stay! We love the Animas River Retreat and being able to ride our bikes from the property and sit in the backyard and listen and watch the beautiful Animas River! The house has everything that we need - kitchen is well stocked, it is roomy and clean. Hope to be back soon!

We had a great visit and loved having both levels to use for our multigenerational family stay. Units were very clean and comfortable. We all had lots of space. Everything you could think of was stocked in the units. The Animas River in the backyard was beautiful and so relaxing to hear the water running at night with the windows open. Great location, close to Durango but quiet and out of town, away from the crowds. Perfect stay!

This home was simply beautiful. The backyard was right on the Animas River and provided a wonderful place to read, eat, and play. The sound of the river filled the house. This home was also very convenient to everything we wanted to do - a short drive to town, to hikes, and to river sports. The bed was comfy, the kitchen well stocked and the neighbors/owners incredibly kind and helpful. We will be back!!

The house was great for us. We trailered up motorcycles and had plenty of room for trailers and vehicles. The owner which is right next door was gracious and helped us all he could as far as allowing us to use his area for moving trailers around. Great sitting on river bank in the evening. House was very well supplied even though we brought most of what we needed. There was a prompt refund of our deposit after we checked out.

Our son was running the 100 mile race from Durango to Silverton, so we needed something between the two. This lower level worked well for us, 4 adults and one toddler. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. We loved the backyard and the river...so Colorado!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful home on the Animas river and once again we loved it! The house is well maintained with a fully stocked kitchen and very quiet. The backyard is magical with the sound and beauty of the river right outside the back door. We bicycle and we love the fact that the property is on CR250 which is a quiet, scenic road to ride on all the way into town. We'll be back!

We rented both the top and bottom units, and both were just everything we could have wanted. Everything needed to feel at home was provided. The area is secluded and quiet, very peaceful, with a beautiful river running past the backyard. The kids loved sitting on the rocks, watching the river. The yard and garden are beautifully laid out and maintained, without being "done" and fussy. Very much in keeping with the natural landscape. The units were very clean and well-stocked. Just a delightful stay all the way around.
