This spacious home features wonderful views and a great riverside location that even has its own beach area. Upon entering the home you can take in the gorgeous views from the floor to ceiling windows in the open living room. A well appointed kitchen has everything you need for making meals and there is dining for 6 plus 2 bar seats at the counter. A bedroom with a queen bed overlooks the creek and there is a full shared bath with shower. The master suite can also be found on the first floor with king bed, in room TV, access to the back deck, plus an en suite bath with a jetted soaking tub. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, each with a queen bed and in room TV. These rooms share a full bath with shower. Outside is a lovely yard and lots of parking space. As you head to the back of the home you will find a amazing creekside deck that hangs over the rushing waters, and a sandy beach the kids will have a great time playing in. My brothers and I booked this for a fishing base. The cabin was amazing with wonderful mountain views and the focal point of the Vallecito creek, which was experiencing epic run off. The sounds of the water were soothing through the windows and the big windows made for lots of mountain air flow. House was clean and beds were comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time at this house. I have a family of 7 and it was the perfect size for a vacation home. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pans and small appliances that you need such as a crockpot and even Tupperware. We stayed for four nights and did not run out of any essentials that the property managers provide. The view from the backyard is like no other place I have stayed. You are literally right next to the mountains. We would book this place again on the view alone. Our visit was in the middle of May and with all of the snow that the area had, the creek behind the house was full and roaring. I would love to go back in June or another summer month to give the mountain runoff time to decrease a bit. We have a toddler so while the little beach behind the house was very fun for him, we were a bit uneasy at how fast the creek was going and it was full! The beach is really cute and has seashells scattered around. Perfect for little kids. The lake is not even five minutes from the house and Weminuche Grill is just a few minutes away. The only downside to this place is the distance to grocery stores. You have to drive into Bayfield to access a grocery store. The local places down the road from the house all close around 7 or 8. We drove to Durango three times and it really is just an easy 20-30 minute drive depending on which way you go. We have Verizon for cell service and we had zero issues at the house. Driving between Vallecito and Bayfield we had no service at all, but in the house and around the yard it was great. I did not even turn wifi on. The house does not provide any extra blankets so if you get cold at night I would recommend brining some of those.

Our family had a wonderful time with our kids on the little beach this property boasts. Add to that comfortable rooms, a very accommodating kitchen, easy ingress/egress to the property, proximity to the lake and fishing, deer outside the windows nearly every time we looked...our stay couldn't have been better.
