Located just 2.5 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort this beautiful and open mountain retreat has just recently been furnished and features wonderful amenities. The open concept living/dining room has vaulted ceilings and a stacked stone wood-burning fireplace (wood is provided). There is a 55" TV with DirecTV. The dining area features a dining table for 6, plus 2 bar stools at the breakfast bar to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you could need. Off the kitchen you will find a laundry room with washer and dryer, and access to the garage which is available for guest use. Downstairs you will find a bedroom with queen bed and a small desk with view of the courtyard and vaulted ceilings. A full bath with shower is also available on the main floor. Upstairs the bright master suite has a king bed, private balcony, and private bath with dual vanity and jetted tub/shower combo. The heated mudroom entrance makes storing gear easy. Outside you will find the deck overlooking the open courtyard and surrounding mountains. The deck has a bistro table and two adirondack chairs for lounging. Walk down to the courtyard with grill or relax in the community hot tub after a long day on the slopes. This home is dog friendly. Here are a few of the adventures that await you: Elbert Creek Trail - Walk out the front door for a scenic hike up Elbert Creek Trail to explore the Hermosa Cliffs. The trail head is located across the street on the south side of the Needles Country Store. Hiking not your thing? No worries, the trail is open to bikes and horses too. Kid friendly hikes - Engineer Mountain, Spud Lake, Cascade Creek are all located within a short 10-15 minute drive. Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort - Just a short 2.5 mile drive north where you'll find yourself enjoying the year round mountain activities, with fun for all ages. Million Dollar Highway - Enjoy the beautiful views on the world famous Million Dollar Highway that takes you through Silverton and Ouray, known as the Swiss Alps of America. Silverton is only a 25 mile drive north from our townhome and Ouray is 47 miles. The drive is amazing year round, but Autumn is a favorite time of year to enjoy all the fall colors.
