This was our second stay at Castlerock. It was just as wonderful as the first. Love the location. Had to make a last minute addition of a pet and it went smoothly.

We went in June. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful trees and couldn't ask for a better location since that is the perfect setting to be in a Durango vacation. There is a gas station in walking distance with so many basic things. A bar within a 4min drive and Purgatory Resort within 5 min drive. The cabin is very cozy and clean. I would love to stay here again with all the good things that it has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay at Castle Rock. The house is fairly secluded with only trees and cliffs in your back yard looking our from the back porch and hot tub. Super close to Purgatory and nice to have Needles convenient store so close. We loved the super sized bean bags!

A storm came in our first day and we had a problem with our chains, making the trek up to the house impossible. Quickly got new chains and made it ok. The house is very nice and fully stocked. The surroundings are incredible! Had a blast playing in the snow around the property and relaxing in the hot tub after skiing.

Our family has a wonderful stay at Castle Rock Cabin! The house had lots of space to accommodate our family of 5 plus our dog, yet was cozy and inviting. My favorite room in the house was the den with the stove. It was the warmest room in the house and had lots of windows and natural lighting. The fenced in yard was perfect to let our dog out. We were 10 min from Purgatory Ski Resort, which was convenient. The hot tub was the best thing after a full day of skiing/snowboarding. The house is stocked with everything you need. It's located in a nice neighborhood, but AWD, snow tires or chains are necessary when there's snow/ice on the roads. We would love to visit in the summer and would rent this house again.

This home is perfect if you'd like to get away from the city, settle in the Aspen trees, and watch a herd of elk every evening. Home is warm, clean, and fits several people. We frequent this part of Colorado and are very pleased with this property. Zero complaints.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The home is in a private area and we appreciated the porch and the fenced in side yard as we didn't have to put our two small dogs on leashes to let them outside (of course we never left them alone outside). This was our first time to use VRBO and we had a wonderful vacation!

Great location, only 2 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort. Private location in a beautiful setting. During our trip we had a fox visit the back deck two nights in a row, wow. Great trip and location for the whole family.

First and foremost, 4WD or AWD is def needed in winter conditions. The driveway is steep, but not imaginably so. When we arrived, it was covered with snow. But, we made it into the driveway just fine. The cabin itself was a lot larger than I originally expected, but that was fine! The Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, flatware, and other cooking supplies. The countertops were absolutely gorgeous, as well! The only bed we used was in the Master bedroom, and we slept comfortably on it. It's more of a Medium soft / Soft. There are a lot of windows which give natural light during the day time, and also help heat the cabin, so if you'd like to enjoy the views during your stay, make sure to open them once in a while to take a look! I'd also like to note that Durango is actually about 30 minutes south of you. So make sure to grab your essentials, otherwise you'll have to drive 30 mins to the nearest town. There is a gas station right at the bottom which does have some essentials, and isn't too badly overpriced... but it does not have everything! We got to visit a few local bars, and national monument sites in that region. Until next time!
